If you need to adjust your settings, follow the simple instructions below to optimize clarity of text and images for the best viewing on the web.
Adjusting Your Screen Resolution and Color Quality:
Go to your Desktop screen, (the first screen you see when you start your computer, normally with your wallpaper showing) and "right click" any open area (do not click on an icon). You'll see a dialog box pop up and you'll need to choose "Properties" from that menu.
Once chosen, you'll see the Display Properties dialogue box in front of you. It has tabs along the top for different settings for your computer. You'll want to click on the "Settings" tab, usually located at the far right. Within the "Settings" area, there are 2 things that you can change. On the lower left is your Screen Resolution and on the lower right is your Color Quality.
If your color is only set to 256 colors or Medium (16-bit), you should click the arrow next to the drop down box and select Highest (32-bit) or as high as you computer will allow.
By clicking and dragging the slider tab in the Screen resolution area toward the right, you'll increase the resolution. Once finished, click the "apply" button on the lower right. You may be prompted confirm your settings or to restart your computer (older machines or Windows software), and if you are prompted to restart your computer, it's usually not necessary. Just choose to continue on without restarting. You are now ready for optimized viewing resolution and color.
